ある絵本が昨年8月に出版されたのに、イラストレータの描いた挿絵が、ネット上にある写真を利用したものであったため、出庫、販売停止になったとことが以下の「お知らせ」からわかりました。

この「お知らせ」でイラストレーター、みきぐち氏が写真の利用について謝罪しています。
写真は著作物であり、この模写は複製です。
インターネット上の画像にも、もちろん著作権があります。
ネット時代で他人の写真や絵に誰でもが簡単に手を延ばせる時代だからこそ、著作権の啓蒙を急ぐべきです。
この事件で最も残念な思いをしているのは著者です。そのことが著者である春名風花さんのブログからよくわかります。

この本の出荷、販売停止で読者である子供たちに希望どころか失望を与えてしまいました。
学校で著作権教育が必要であるといわれる昨今、このような形で子供たちに著作権教育をしてしまったことは残念です。
ところで今回、模写されてしまったネット上の写真は、春名さんブログによると、まだ著作者がわからないみたいです。早く著作者が見つかるといいですね。

Photographs are copyrighted works, and their replication is considered plagiarism.
Images found on the Internet are no exception.
In the Internet age of today, people can easily access anyone’s photographs or pictures on the Internet. This means that information regarding copyright protection should be delivered to the general public as soon as possible.

In this situation, the author of “To You, The Bully”, Fuka Haruka, loses out the most. This can be seen from her blog in the link below.

The sale prohibition of this picture book disappointed the children who were hoping to read it.
Education regarding copyright law should be taught to children in schools, but not in this manner.
According to Fuka Haruna’s blog, the copyright holder of the photograph used for her book has not be found. I hope the copyright holder is identified soon.
