これまで多くの発明をしてこられた池成姫さんを紹介します。

この考案で実用新案登録(第3,139,571号、(株)実用新案権者:(株)インターブックス)を取得し、会社まで創業されました。

女性には仕事だけでなく子育てと家事があります。これが省力化するための工夫が発明につながります。
この鞄紐はおんぶ紐をバッグに応用したものだとのこと、子育てを通して子育て用品だけではなく、一般用品を考案するアイディアには感嘆せざるをえません。

そういえば、「駅の乗換えマップ」を発明したのも子育て中の女性でした。ベビーカーを抱えて駅のホームでエスカレータを探し回ったときに思いついた発明です。

発明は不便から生まれるというのがこの2人の女性発明家に共通する点です。子育ては発明させるくらい、他の仕事に比べて不便を感じることが多いのでしょうか。

Women juggle work, childrearing, and housework. A device for saving labor lead to an invention. Reportedly, the bag strap was devised by applying a baby sling to a bag. I was astonished at the idea for devising not only articles for childrearing, but also general articles, as a result of raising children.

This reminds me of another female inventor, who had been raising children, and devised a map for changing trains at stations. The woman came up with this idea when she had been searching for an escalator on a station platform while holding a baby buggy.

What these two female inventors have in common is that a feeling of inconvenience led to the creation of an invention. I wonder if women often feel inconvenienced when raising children, which leads to the creation of inventions more often than when compared to other work?
